Magic can create many things like life saving medicine, powerful weapons, and everyday tools. One thing that no one considered was creating life, and we're not talking about undead or constructs. Magic can be used to create life in the from of Changelings.
When a powerful mage focuses their magical will into a woman they are able to impregnate them with a child made of half magic, half human. It's unknown why this technique only works on humans, but in the instance some mages are able to create magical behemoths.
Changelings always look like their mothers except their skin is a chalky white and their eyes are completely black giving them a ghostly visage. Changelings also seem to give off a smokey aura when around areas of individuals with high amounts of magic.
There isn't much of a Changeling society anywhere in the world other than a few small communities within larger cities. changeling are only really ever found either on the road or in areas with large amounts of humans. for every 1000 humans you find there will usually be at least 1 changeling.
Since the creating of a changeling take a powerful mage they are usually highborn and raised to be nobles. Although some changeling are made on accident or abandoned by their families and thus become normal citizens. These Changelings are treated poorly by others as they are a small minority that can be easily taken advantage of.
Alignment and Religion
Changelings don't really relate to any alignment other than most noble Changelings being lawful. This can easily vary though since they tend to not hold too much attachment to anyone other than their mother.
Most Changelings are raises to worship the goddess Meya. They are made to respect the goddess as their creator and "real" mother.

-Type: Changelings are humanoid creatures with both the human and changeling subtypes.

-languages: Changelings begin speaking common. they may learn any language a human may learn.
Defense Racial Traits
-Dual Minded: Members of this race gain a +2 bonus on all Will saving throws.
Feat and Skill Racial Traits
-Curiosity: Members of this race are naturally inquisitive about the world around them. They gain a +4 bonus on Diplomacy checks to gather information, and Knowledge (history) and Knowledge (local) become class skills for them. If they choose a class that has either of these Knowledge skills as class skills, they gain a +2 racial bonus on those skills instead.
Magical Racial Traits
-Hypnotic Gaze: Once per day, a member of this race can attempt to hypnotize a single target as per the spell hypnotism (caster level equal to its character level). The effects of the hypnotic gaze last only 1 round.
Senses Racial Traits
-Darkvision: Members of this race can see in the dark up to 60 feet.
